A Spring Wedding at Woodbine Mansion | Lauren & Matthew’s Elegant Garden Celebration in Round Rock, TX
Some weddings just stay with you—and Lauren and Matthew’s spring wedding at Woodbine Mansion in Round Rock, Texas, is one I’ll never forget. Everything about their day felt like a gentle nod to the past while still remaining uniquely them. With inspiration drawn from The Great Gatsby, their celebration was the perfect blend of timeless elegance, vintage charm, and youthful romance.
The Venue: Woodbine Mansion in Round Rock, TX
Nestled in the heart of downtown Round Rock, Woodbine Mansion is a historic estate that feels like it’s been pulled straight from the pages of a classic novel. Built in 1900, this stately home boasts original wood flooring, elegant pocket doors, and several beautifully restored rooms that exude old-world charm. The modern updates throughout the venue enhance rather than overshadow its vintage character—making it an absolute dream for any wedding photographer.
Lauren and Matthew chose to exchange vows on the mansion’s garden lawn, beneath the delicate wisteria vines. The light was soft and golden, the greenery lush, and the love between them palpable.
A Ceremony Rooted in Faith
Their Christian ceremony was heartfelt and deeply meaningful. In a beautiful and reverent moment, the couple shared the Lord’s Supper as part of their vows, a powerful symbol of their unity and shared faith. Lauren was especially close with her mother, who helped her dress and shared quiet moments with her before the ceremony. Her maid of honor, calm and present, read her scripture as she got ready, bringing peace and grounding to the morning.
Design Details Inspired by The Great Gatsby
Lauren's vision was clear from the start—she wanted luxury and elegance with a Gatsby-esque flair. Rich tones of green and gold were woven throughout the decor, from the floral arrangements to the delicate accents on the dinner tables. It all felt refined and romantic, without being overdone.
Their guest list was a joyful group of about 110 friends and family, many of them close in age to the couple, which added a fun, youthful energy to the day. After the ceremony, guests were treated to an elegant outdoor dinner under the glowing sunset. The tables—three long wooden farm tables arranged in a beautiful “U” shape—were bathed in golden hour light, creating a dreamy, intimate atmosphere.
A Love Like Springtime
There was something so refreshingly innocent and pure about Lauren and Matthew’s love. It reminded me of spring itself—hopeful, sweet, and full of promise. Every glance, every touch, every shared laugh between them told a story I was honored to capture. Their wedding was not just visually stunning, it was emotionally rich, full of meaningful moments and genuine connection.
Photographing their wedding at Woodbine Mansion was a true privilege. This venue continues to be one of my favorites in the Austin area, and Lauren and Matthew’s day reminded me exactly why. If you're dreaming of a garden wedding with historic charm and timeless elegance, Woodbine Mansion in Round Rock, TX is hard to beat.
