Camino Real Ranch Wedding | Marissa and Josh

Maybe you're a nerd like me and enjoy reading up on the history and lore of a particular place. I was curious and learned that Camino Real Ranch first started off as a pig farm in the '40s. The it rolled around in different hands over the years operating as a green house organic garden and now, a desert vibe wedding venue.

All the right parts of a ranch, blended with a touch of desert aesthetics, copious amounts of diffused light, and an atmosphere that encourages guest to linger a little longer, makes Camino Real Ranch a 10/10 amongst Austin Wedding Venues.

Marissa and Josh are born and raised Texans, met in film school and now, reside in the state of NY. Camino Real was the choice as it honored their Texas roots with out being too "yeehaw" if you know what I mean. After all, as with most artists, aesthetic, vibe, and color scheme is everything and Camino Real just checked all the boxes for this couple.

Above is one of Camino Reals two metal buildings. Used in this wedding as a guest sign in station as well as cocktail/mingling area between itinerary events

Marissa and her party get ready in Camino Reals amazing bridal suite and shares and Impromptu first peek with the greats hype squad on the planet.

Marissa and Josh had their first look under the gazebo and get another round of cheers and whoops as they make their way back to their individual cabins.

While Camino Real has multiple ceremony locations, Marissa and Josh chose the spot near the pond. It was a beautiful ceremony that honored Josh's late father. Marissa and Josh were married by Marissa father and given away by both their mothers. When all the formalities were done, Josh bursted into dance down the aisle with his now wife.

Camino Real has some of the best light indoors and out and on this day, we were blessed with an exceptional golden warm light that matched the energy of the couples wedding party. The group shots were taken in front of Camino Reals main and larger building that hosts everything from ceremonies to cocktail hours to receptions.

Marissa and Josh came bouncing in with florescent energy that carried into the dances. Camino Reals space allows for the dreamiest diffused light (every photographers dream) and makes getting great images there effortless and assured.

Camino Reals property is just the right size and every corner of the venues outdoor space is picture worthy. We spent our time during the days dimming light capturing their wedding portraits. As a photographer who has shot MANY Texas summer weddings it brings me to (happy) tears when an outdoor venue utilizes their space efficiently and doesn't require golf carts or long strolls to get to the most photogenic areas. Another reason why I give this place a 10/10

The night ended well with a dance floor full of people and a phenomenal sparkler exit to see the couple off.
