Allan House: Samantha & Jonathan's Allan House Wedding
Updated: May 12, 2021
Those of us in the Austin wedding industry know of the Allan House if we've not already serviced a wedding there. The Allan House was first built by a Scottish attorney and philanthropist, John Allan in 1883 who immigrated to Texas. You can find the extended version of the houses history on The Allan House website. After being passed down from family to family The Allan house was geniously restored to it's victorian design with minor upgrades and modern convinces. In 2000 it was finally converted into what all of us today recognize it as, a wedding and event venue.
It's a beautiful home and because of it's excellent maintenance and homage to it's Victorian roots, the Allan House transcends you into a time long long ago. It's ivy covered gate, coblestone courtyard and wrap around porches feel rather ironic as it's nestled in between government skyscrapers and busy Austin street. Nonetheless, once you go inside you quickly forget the actuality of where you are.

All the way from Pennsylvania, Samantha and Jonathan chose to make this the place where their forever began. The Allan House needs little decor to make it look absolutly magical already however a real eye for design and the amazing color scheme of this wedding really swept me off my feet with all thanks to Samanthan and Heather from Vintage and Lace . It's the same story, Samantha and Jonathans wedding was supposed to be earlier this year however CV had altered their plans.

The origianl design was vibrant tropic florals and colors that matched the warmth of the summer time wedding. However, when Samantha and Jonathan learned their wedding would be postponed to November, suddenly the color scheme and florals wouldn't make too much sense. I had never thought of Tropical Fall as a theme but let me tell you, this is a real thing and it's stunning. Remi & Gold created such an amazing masterpiece with dried florals and leaves. The alter-piece, bouquet, and table arrangments were all brilliant and The Allan House was the perfect match for such a fabulous design.
This wedding was a spectacular list of talented vendor (all of whom are linked below this blog). If you, reader, are in search for a venue, consider The Allan House. Far from the Barn look but not quite urban, The Allan House has such a mature and remarkable touch of elegance and class that merges easily with weddings.
